During March 2019, flight frequency rose 6.95 percent, but the average flight per day was still lower than last month.
The number of passengers via sea transportation rose 3.64 percent from 18,593 people (February 2019) to 19,270 people (March 2019).
The flow of goods through the sea fell 3.87 percent from 1.44 million tons (February 2019) to 1.38 million tons (March 2019). The decrease occurred in the volume of cargo loading (6.48 percent).
Passenger ship activities were concentrated in Kumai (63.26 percent), while goods in Sampit (53.67 percent).
Flight frequency rose 6.95 percent from 1,627 flights (February 2019) to 1,740 flights (March 2019).
The number of passengers through air transportation rose 4.21 percent from 120,774 people (February 2019) to 125,858 people (March 2019).
The flow of goods traffic through the air also rose 4.66 percent from 1,245 tons (February 2019) to 1,303 tons (March 2019). The increase came from the volume of unloading of goods (21.32 percent).
The preference of air transportation services is relatively concentrated in Tjilik Riwut, both passenger activities (50.49 percent) and goods (55.41 percent).
