Abstract

  • Number of sea transport passengers recorded 19,470 people, decreased by 21.79 percents if compared with previous month that is recorded 24,894 people.
  • Free flow of goods via sea transport recorded 1.29 million tons, increased by 10.05 percent compared to the previous month. The increase occurred in the load and unload volume, each of 2.55 percent and 12.88 percent.
  • The frequency of flights rises 2.31 percent, from 1,817 flights in September 2016 became 1,859 flights in October 2016.
  • Number of air transport passengers reached 136,444 people, up 3.36 percent compared to the previous month, amounting to 132,010 people.
  • Free flow of goods through the airport recorded 1,566 tonnes, up 2.59 percent compared to the previous month. The increase occurred mainly in the unloading volume amounted to 5.35 percent, while goods loading volume fell 2.19 percent.
  • The traffic flow of passengers and goods in the sea transport is dominated by the port of Kumai and Sampit each by 57.45 percent and 45.03 percent. Meanwhile, the traffic flow of passengers and goods by air port is dominated Tjilik Riwut each by 51.70 percent and 56.06 percent.
