SOCIALIZATION OF EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SECTORAL STATISTICS

Sectoral statistics are statistics whose use is intended to meet the needs of certain agencies in the context of carrying out government and development tasks which are the main tasks of the agency concerned. Because of the importance of sectoral statistics, there is a need for regular reviews or evaluations regarding the implementation of sectoral statistics.

Located in the Pulang Pisau Regency BPS Hall on March 7 2024, the Pulang Pisau Regency BPS Sectoral Statistics Development Team carried out socialization activities regarding the evaluation of the implementation of sectoral statistics (EPSS). Head of Pulang Pisau Regency BPS, Oo Suharto, said that in 2024, this implementation evaluation activity will be carried out in the next few months and will be the second implementation after 2023. Judging from the results of the previous period, more intensive guidance is needed so that the implementation of sectoral statistics can run well within the local government of Pulang Pisau Regency.

Head of the Pulang Pisau Regency Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Encryption Service, Moh. Insyafi, said that there needs to be good cooperation between agencies or bodies/services in regional government so that sectoral statistical activities can run better. On this occasion, representatives from the Pulang Pisau Regency Regional Development Planning, Research and Innovation Agency as well as the two agencies that will be the locus for EPSS in 2024 were also present, namely the Pulang Pisau Regency Agriculture Service and the Pulang Pisau Regency Food Security Service.

It is hoped that better implementation of sectoral statistics will provide more benefits for future regional development, especially with quality data and information for planning, implementation, evaluation and public services
