Abstract

The total workforce in February 2023 was 1.44 million people, an increase of 65.13 thousand people compared to February 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) was 68.76 percent, an increase of 1.81 percentage points compared to February 2022.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 3.84 percent, a decrease of 0.35 percentage point from February 2022.
  • The working population is 1.38 million people, an increase of 67.47 thousand people compared to February 2022.
  • The main jobs with the largest increase in the number of workers were in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries category which reached 0.04 million people, while the largest decrease occurred in the Processing Industry category, which was 19.89 thousand people compared to February 2022.
  • As many as 0.67 million people (50.28 percent) of the population work in formal activities, an increase of 7.32 percentage points compared to February 2022.
  • The percentage of underemployed workers decreased by 0.37 percentage points, as did the percentage of part-time workers, which decreased by 1.02 percentage points compared to February 2022.
  • There are 10.08 thousand people (0.48 percent of the working age population) affected by Covid-19. The population affected by Covid-19 consists of Unemployment due to Covid-19 (0.56 thousand people), Non-Work Force (BAK) due to Covid-19 (3.21 thousand people), and Reduced Working Hours due to Covid-19 (6, 32 thousand people).
