Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

Central Kalimantan's combined NTP in January 2023 rose by 1.57 percent compared to December 2022, namely from 117.09 to 118.93. This increase was caused by an increase in the exchange rate in several sub-sectors, namely the food crops sub-sector (3.07 percent) and the smallholder estate crops sub-sector (1.93 percent). Meanwhile, the horticulture sub-sector, livestock sub-sector, and fisheries sub-sector experienced a decline in exchange rates, respectively by 2.09 percent, 0.31 percent and 0.21 percent.

In January 2023 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.49 percent which was mainly due to an increase in the index for the food and beverage/restaurant provider group (0.91 percent), the personal care and other services group (0.91 percent). percent). 73 percent), and the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.70 percent).

Similar to the NTP, the Kalimantan Tengah Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in January 2023 also increased by 2.06 percent, from 116.67 (December 2022) to 119.07 (January 2023).
