Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Tengah based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) based on current prices in the third quarter of 2022 reached Rp 49.3 trillion and at constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 27.0 trillion.
  • Kalimantan Tengah's economy in quarter III-2022 compared to quarter III-2021 (y-on-y) grew by 6.74 percent. In terms of production, the largest growth occurred in the Category of Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink by 15.47 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the component with the highest growth was the Export Component of Goods and Services at 19.25 percent.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2022 experienced a contraction of 0.71 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the category with the deepest contraction was Mining and Quarrying at 21.83 percent. From the expenditure side, the Export Component of Goods and Services experienced the deepest contraction of 5.19 percent.
  • The cumulative economy of Kalimantan Tengah until the third quarter of 2022 compared to the cumulative until the third quarter of 2021 grew by 7.13 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the Mining and Quarrying Category experienced the highest growth of 24.37 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Export Component of Goods and Services experienced the highest growth of 17.51 ​​percent.
  • The spatial structure of Kalimantan's economy in the third quarter of 2022 was still dominated by Kalimantan Timur with a contribution of 54.76 percent. All provinces in the Kalimantan region experienced positive growth (y-on-y) in the third quarter of 2022 with Kalimantan Tengah as the province experiencing the highest growth of 6.74 percent and a contribution of 10.72 percent.
