August 2022: Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah during August 2022 amounted to 116.08, an increase of 4.43 percent compared to July 2022.

Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

The Joint NTP of Central Kalimantan in August 2022 increased by 4.43 percent compared to July 2022, from 111.16 to 116.08. This increase was caused by the increase in the exchange rate in several sub-sectors, namely the people's plantation sub-sector (7.00 percent) and the food crops sub-sector (3.50 percent). Meanwhile, the horticulture sub-sector, livestock sub-sector and fishery sub-sector decreased by 1.79 percent, 1.30 percent and 1.17 percent, respectively.

In August 2022, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Central Kalimantan by 0.59 percent due to the decline in the price index for the food, beverage and tobacco group (1.16 percent). Meanwhile, the price index for other expenditure groups increased.

Similar to NTP, Central Kalimantan's Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2022 also increased by 3.55 percent, from 112.18 (July 2022) to 116.16 (August 2022).

The Combined NTP for Kalimantan Tengah during March 2024 was 123.82 or an increase of 0.84 percent compared to February 2024.
