Abstract

Of the 90 cities that have been monitored by the national CPI, 87 cities experienced inflation and only 3 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Gunungsitoli (1.87 percent) and the highest deflation was in Luwuk (0.26 percent). Palangka Raya is in the 49th rank of inflation cities at the national level, while Sampit is in the 83rd rank of inflation cities.

Inflation in Palangka Raya (0.47 percent) was influenced by an increase in the price index in the transportation group (2.31 percent), the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.71 percent), and the clothing and footwear group (0.40 percent). ).

Inflation in Sampit (0.17 percent) was influenced by an increase in the price index for the transportation group (0.50 percent), as well as for the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.30 percent).

Based on the two reference cities (Palangka Raya and Sampit), Kalimantan Tengah Province experienced inflation of 0.35 percent, as well as a calendar year inflation rate and a year on year inflation rate of 1.03 percent.
