Green economic development is an urgent thing that must be done by a country, especially when it is related to the condition of the population in the future.
Indonesia's commitment to controlling greenhouse gas emissions through green development is also an important momentum ahead of the 100th anniversary of Indonesia's independence in 2045 when it is linked to the socio-demographic conditions of the population. It is important to understand the size, structure, composition and distribution of the current population and towards the achievement of the 2045 Indonesia Gold target in order to support the successful direction of policies and the implementation of sustainable and low-emission development.
In this regard, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), as part of the 2020 Long Form Population Census, in collaboration with the Center for Population Research-National Research and Innovation Agency (PRK-BRIN) has conducted a qualitative study "Green Economy Development and Social Demographic Conditions of Population Indonesia: Realizing Population Welfare and a Sustainable Environment” in 34 provinces in Indonesia.
As a series of activities, the dissemination of study results was held for the Kalimantan Island Region. The activity was carried out on Wednesday, 23 November 2022, in the City of Balikpapan.
Head of BPS Pulang Pisau Regency, Oo Suharto, and Young Expert Statistician, Akhmad Nizar, attended the activity according to the invitation given. This is related to the research locus which was also carried out in Pulang Pisau Regency in June 2022. Hopefully this activity can be useful for sustainable development in the future.
