July 28, 2022 | BPS Activities

On Thursday, July 28, 2022, the Deputy for Production Statistics of BPS, M. Habibullah, conducted a review of the integrated food crop statistical data collection using the Area Sample Framework (KSA) method. Accompanied by the Director of Statistics for Food Crops, Horticulture, and Plantations of BPS RI, Kadarmanto, this activity was carried out at the Food Estate location, precisely in Belanti Siam Village, Pandih Batu District. On that occasion, the Head of Central Kalimantan Province BPS and all Regency/City BPS Heads throughout Central Kalimantan were also present. Also present were various invitees such as representatives from the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture, and Livestock of Central Kalimantan Province, Center for the Study of Agricultural Technology in Central Kalimantan Province, Agriculture Service of Pulang Pisau Regency, Head of Pandih Batu Sub-district, and Village Head of Belanti Siam as well as several representatives of farmer groups.

In his remarks, Habibullah conveyed the importance of data on food crop production in Indonesia recently, especially since the pandemic era, where food availability must always be maintained. In addition, to obtain various latest data and information regarding the agricultural sector, he also conveyed socialization related to the Agricultural Census which will be conducted next year.

After the welcoming ceremony, the group left for the KSA observation point not far from the location. This photoshoot session was also accompanied by all invitees so that they knew what field officers were doing every month. In the final session, a friendly session was held for all invitees, including farmers in the Food Estate area.

With this activity, it is hoped that the quality of data and information related to rice production can be maintained, the end of which is for the welfare of the community, especially farmers.
